The Oxford20 integrated solar street lamp is an all in one unit. The Oxford20 is robust and light weight due to its compact design and integrated solar panel. Furthermore, this light requires no configuration or wiring at installation. These features provide significant savings on logistic and installation costs. The light unit has a modern, yet classic style which will fit into any street or outdoor environment.  

The Oxford20 provides reliable off-grid lighting due to its default dimming mode. The light will perform at 600 lumen for the first 5 hours of operation. To conserve energy, the light then steps down in brightness to 300 lumen  and engages the PIR function.  When the PIR is activated, the light output reverts back to 600 lumen.  Each activation lasts approximately 30 seconds which allows sufficient time for pedestrians to safely pass by.  These lights also provide a long lasting illumination for outdoor areas. With a replaceable large capacity and recyclable lithium battery, these lights have the ability to operate over three consecutive nights on a single full charge. This is especially useful during poor (low UV light) conditions. This solar street lamp is designed to turn on automatically at dusk and turn off at dawn.

The Oxford20 is designed to be mounted on a pole. It is suitable for parks and gardens, roadways, pathways, parking lots, bicycle paths, perimeter security and anywhere else mains power is too difficult or expensive to install.


Features of the Oxford20 Solar Street Lamp:

Easy to install

Commercial pole mounting for the light using the 9 stainless steel 316 screws & bolts provided. The light activates by a patented magnetic key (supplied). Once removed the light will commence it’s solar cycle. Poles are NOT included. Customers can, however, purchase poles at an additional charge

Dimming Function

After five hours of operation each night the light enters dimming mode to conserve power.  This enables the light to operate up to three consecutive nights on a single charge. The dimming function has the additional benefit of reducing light pollution during low use hours.

PIR Function

This function activates while in the standby mode. In this mode, pedestrian activity triggers the sensor increasing the light output to 600 lumen for sufficient time to navigate the area safely.
The Queensland University of Technology has independently tested the Oxford20 solar street lamp for ‘Distribution Photometry of a Luminaire’.  This report is available upon request.
